Auckland Highlights

Queenstown and Rotorua & Hobbiton guides.

Mostly some food and neighborhood recommendations for the lovely Auckland. Loved the aesthetic of this place. So many cute and affordable bars and cafes to hang out in.

Giapo – You CANNOT miss out on Giapo. I am OBSESSED with this place. Every scoop of ice cream comes with matching toppings that go with the flavor. I had the Giapo Buono on the first day and came back the next day for the Afghan Cookie. Both were amazing but the caramel cereal topping on the Afghan Cookie was TO DIE FOR.

The Culpeper – Drop by here for the daily happy hour. $5 wines and beers, $10 cocktail of the day, and $2 oysters!! These oysters were amazing.

Waiheke Oysters

The Culpeper is on the wharf, so you can hang out by the water with a good view with your drinks and oysters as well.

Bedford Soda & Liquor – Super cute spot in Ponsonby (super cute area to walk through for an afternoon). We got the Gin Daisy – Gin, Gold Kiwifruit 😍, Cucumber, Mint, Lime – and the F.B.I – Gin, Peach Liqueur, Amaro, Almond, Flash Brewed and Infused with Blueberry and Black Tea.

The FBI is presented in a french press with dry ice!

Woodpecker Hill – Come by for some drinks. The food wasn’t anything to write home about but I really enjoyed my Makybe Diva.

Parnell French Market – If you’re swinging by Parnell on the weekends, the French Market is open on Saturdays and Sundays. Cute spot.
